Hi! My name is Tara. This is a site in which this (new) mommy, along with others, celebrates, vents, shares wisdom and generally reports on her attempts at becoming qualified for her new job title–“domestic diva!”
I am a stay-at-home working mom who formerly taught for ten years in elementary schools. I have two young children for whom I desire to be a great mother. (Don’t we all!) When I am not on spit-up duty, I love to decorate for the seasons and holidays, create small papercrafts and other “prizes” for friends and family, and entertain. I really wish that I had taken cooking and cleaning classes while getting my degrees…Most of the time being domestic is a greater challenge than any exam I ever took in college!
Email me at firstname.lastname@example.org.
Hello! I am Susan. I am a mommy of two who works outside the house with two jobs. My full time position is a supervisor in a large call center and my other job is owner of Seize the Day Parties. I love to create things, especially memories for my children. My son Thomas, 5, and my daughter Anna, 3, are so unique that I am marveled by them every day. I have a very supportive husband who is a SAHD–stay at home dad (he has his own blog!) I live in a small town in Oregon still trying to find my course in life.
Tara and I have been friends since high school (worked on the school newspaper) and now enjoy the bond of motherhood together. I jumped at the chance to work on another project with her and focusing on the things we do daily seemed like a perfect idea. I hope you enjoy our observations, crafts, complaints (sometimes), and draw inspiration from it, as we do from each other.
